Collaborate Studios is a Melbourne based boutique design company. We are a collective of professional artists, designers and consultants specialising in architectural graphic design, interior applications, wayfinding, music, web design, and photography.

With over ten years of international experience in the graphic design industry, founder and director Michael James Castledine established the studio on unique community based model, focusing on client partnerships and creative design.

Our strength lies in our ability to draw upon our various backgrounds as designers, architects, photographers, musicians and artists to establish a strong fusion of creative ideas, images, movement and experiences. We love doing what we do and we have fun doing it.

Michael James Castledine
Graphic Artist / Creative Director

After founding Collaborate Studios (CS) in 2006, Michael moved to Melbourne, Australia. Inspired by the people, the city's energy, and artistic community, he soon found himself meeting and collaborating with many talented artists across various creative disciplines.

With over ten years of international experience in the graphic design and marketing industry, Michael formed CS on a studio model of sharing challenges, pushing each other and cross-pollinating ideas.

Born in Papau New Guinea, Michael has a strong interest in multicultural design and communication. Educated in Canada as a Graphic Designer he continues to express his creativity through digital art, illustration, painting, sculpture and photography. Drawing inspiration from new adventures, colours, textures and nature, he is always evolving as an artist to express the world around him.

Michael has a passion for people, creativity and great design. For the last four years, he has worked closely with many Melbourne based Architecture and Interior design studios. From glass to large scale murals on walls, his imagination and artwork can now be seen on many different Melbourne canvases.
